Inbō Sake (陰謀鮭) Empty Inbō Sake (陰謀鮭)

Post by Inbō Sake Wed Aug 08, 2012 1:46 pm

Name: Inbō Sake (陰謀鮭) (Scheming Salmon)
Title: Shita no mawarenu hodo. (Dead drunk.)
Age: 16
Height: 5’8
Weight: 170 lbs
Eye Colour: Cream
Hair Colour: Dark Granite
Handed (Writing): Left
Handed (Tools): Both, mainly right.

General Appearance: Inbō has a messy head of medium-length black hair filled with flecks of an ash white colour, very much resembling dark granite. The tips of his bangs often fall into view of his eyes, though they are not an issue with his sight. Inbō’s eyes are a creamy white colour, nearly matching the colour of his sclera but just enough of a different tint to make it distinguishable that his eyes do not appear to be all white.

Inbō’s skin is pale as can be even though his place of origin is where the sun could tan him due to a natural trait that allows his skin to remain pale and resist the burning of the sun. He enjoys remaining the tone that he is, though he often has an issue with the back of his neck becoming red from the sun.

In order to solve this, he wears his headband around his neck. Though in a dye accident, the red has become a few shades darker than the usual headband. Liking the colour that he saw, he decided not to get it fixed.

Inbō often remains expressionless if he is by himself, but can be a face full of emotion if he is with friends or his team. However, Inbō isn’t like the people who move their hands around or make numerous gestures when they speak. His hands will remain at his sides, or in a position he’s been sitting in for some time during the conversation.

Inbō wears a red short sleeve undershirt under a black single-sleeved tee as demanded uniform of Iwagakure, the black shirt being his personal touch. The black shirt has a sleeve going down his left arm, which he uses to write more than in combat. His right arm is left sleeveless as it is used in combat more often and he considers it his strong arm.

Inbō isn’t much for wearing a lot of armour, and so his protection is often limited to allow maneuverability against his opponents. He wears a black shoulder pauldron on his left shoulder that has a strap attached to it connecting around his torso. This strap holds his Sasumata on his back, in reach for his right hand to reach up and grab it for combat.

He also has a rope around the front of his arms and the back of his neck that holds his Pot comfortably on his back, firmly in place. On his back, under his pot, his ninja tool pouch is prepared with his bombs and kunai.

Inbō wears black pants that stop at his feet and under them a pair of black sandals. On his hands, he wears a pair of fingerless gloves that are plated on the backs of the hands and reinforced on the palms to allow the blocking and grabbing of blades and weapons.

Quirks: Inbō has a habit of flipping his kunai and attempting to catch them by the handle, which often leads to him stabbing himself. He often uses his flint kunai, as it is unable to cut, only to impale. This reduces the chance of harm to himself.

If he gets bored or restless, he will incessantly shake his leg. This may happen especially at a table, which can cause it to vibrate and annoy the people sitting close to him and perhaps confuse the people sitting across from him.

Inbō has a slight OCD which causes him to become agitated by random out-of-place things and feel the need to fix them with or without permission. Sometimes he will interrupt others while they are talking to fix a strand of hair sticking in the wrong place, or a shirt collar folded improperly.

Hobbies: Inbō enjoys cooking when he has the chance to take a crack at it. He is already a somewhat skilled chef as he can prepare a few dishes of his liking, but he wants to continue expanding his knowledge in this area. Lately, he has wanted to experiment in making soup and stew.

Inbō also likes to run long distances. Not a track exercise, but simply running as fast and as hard as his feet will allow him to go in any possible direction. It is a time that gives him mental peace, and the physical exhaustion gives a sense of satisfaction.

Thirdly, Inbō has a hobby of taking the time to taste different types of coffees and teas. He has a peculiar advantage of being able to happily drink hot beverages in the midst of blazing days that feel as though the clear sky rains droplets of the sun when the clouds part.

He used to have a habit of stealing his Sensei’s sake and trying to drink it, but Inbō has a poor alcohol tolerance despite what he carries around on him all the time. Two cups of Sake will put Inbō in a daze and make him pass out minutes later, earning him the title ‘Dead drunk’.

Village: Iwagakure no Sato
Rank: Chunin
Occupation: Sake Merchant

Backstory: Inbō was born to the Sake clan, or the Salmon bloodline. A running pun on their name, it is a line of master fisherman who seem to have a natural affinity for gathering marine life from either fresh or salt water. The type varies with each member of the family, but regardless of such his father is a master fisherman of the sea who travels the coasts.

His father wanted Inbō to give the clan a different name, so sent him off to the Iwagakure ninja academy at the age of five in order to learn the arts of combat. The departure was not heartbreaking and cliche like many others that take place, as Inbō was as eager as ever to master the ninja world as much as he was to join his father among the many successful fishermen.

Though now, at this age, the thoughts of being only a fisherman have drifted as Inbō searches for a higher achievement. But his skills have not faltered in the world of waters as he practices them regularly. Inbō has shown proficiency in the use of Earth release, but he has felt for some time that it wasn't the right connection. Something was missing from it which he could not comprehend at the moment, though he still sticks to it faithfully for use in battle.

Accompanying him are his use of weapons and wicked intellect which promotes his name, the 'Scheming Salmon' who is clever enough to steal alcohol from a Jounin and then become 'Dead drunk', as the proverb suggests. Having the poor alcohol tolerance that he does, Inbō has learned the hard way that pounding drinks will only get him killed. Perhaps in his later years the tolerance will grow.

For now, he performs his duties as an active Iwagakure chunin in search of a full team and a new sensei. He fights with his partner Kizu, as the two have nobody else assigned to their group.

Equipment:

Sakesosoi no Nabe (酒注い鍋) [Alcohol Pouring Pot]
Rank: C
Range: Short-Medium
Type: Item; Supplementary/Offensive
Description: A two-gallon pot that has a seal on the front labeled “Sake”. When the seal is activated, the pot will fill with Sake and stop at the rim. It can then be poured or drank directly from the pot. This filling costs only D-Rank chakra. If a C-Rank amount of chakra is applied to the pot, the Sake will gather and swirl violently inside the pot before being released like a cannonball. Upon impact, it will explode similar to the Fireball technique and drench the target in boiling hot Sake for second degree burns. The Sake ‘Cannonball’ released is 16 ½ centimeters in diameter.

Hiuchiishi Kunai (火打石クナイ) [Flint Kunai]
Rank: D
Range: Melee
Type: Weapon; Supplementary/Offensive
Description: A kunai coated in Flint, making it create sparks when it collides with other weapons. Useful for starting fires, but ineffective at using the actual blade for cuts. Instead, it can be used to impale, parry, or deflect.

Sasumata (刺股) [Spear Fork]
Rank: D
Range: Melee
Type: Weapon; Offensive/Supplementary
Description: A Sasumata with a reinforced pole used to withstand strikes so that it may serve a defensive role against the strong vibrations of other metals on impact, reducing the effect on the users hands.

It is modified, being 1.5m in length instead of 2m and having the spear tipped end removed. Instead, the end is flat and in-between the tips of the U on the end of the weapon there is a small spear compartment activated by a switch. When the switch is deactivated, the spear will quickly retract into the pole for re-use. It is meant to execute those being interrogated if they show resistance.

The switch also has a middle selection to be used for threat, where the spear will only poke out enough to cause a known presence to the target to encourage them to give information.

Kunai x15 – Movement Binding Tag x2 – Smoke Bomb x2 – Bomb Ball x2

Jutsu:

Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)

Doton: Bunkatsu kurētā no jutsu (分割クレーター) [Earth Release: Splitting Crater Technique]
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Ninjutsu; Supplementary
Description: The user places his hands on the surface of the ground he is standing on while standing in front of or near the target. He will then push his chakra into the ground and split the surface five meters downward and in a three meter radius under the opponent. The ground will then sink and crumble to bits as the target falls into the newly formed hole.

Doton: Hankyū (半球) [Earth Release: Hemisphere]
Rank: C
Range: Short
Type: Ninjutsu; Defensive
Description: The user will place his hands on the ground, pushing his chakra into it in a semicircle around him with a diameter of three meters. Dirt and stone is then pushed up and molded into a hemisphere barrier around him, approximately a meter thick for defensive purposes. The other half is open and makes this ineffective for blocking a 360 degree attack.

Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Doton Surabu (Summoning Technique: Earth Release Slab)
Rank: C
Range: Short-Medium
Type: Ninjutsu; Supplementary/Offensive; Space-Time
Description: The user will summon a five-meter by five-meter square slab of thick stone which will then fall down and crush the target. The slab does not disappear after falling and is 30.48 cm thick. (Exactly 12 inches.) This jutsu can be used consecutively to summon up to 3 slabs, but is commonly only used to summon one at a time.

Inbō Sake (陰謀鮭) Empty Re: Inbō Sake (陰謀鮭)

Post by Inbō Sake Wed Aug 08, 2012 3:15 pm

Clan: Sake [Salmon]

Origin: Natural Affinity

Abilities: Members of the Sake bloodline have shown to have a natural affinity in the skill of fishing. They also have a keen eye specifically for the scales of freshwater fish, able to spot those near the shore based off of the Sun's reflection.

(Applies to using a pole, hands, weapon [Weapon depends on proficiency as well in that weapon.])

History: Inbō's father, Fukai Sake (深い) [Deep Salmon] is a prized fisherman who spends much of his time as a coast-travelling marine merchant around the ninja world. While his father's techniques were more developed genetically for sea life, Inbō himself adapted to seeing through rivers and lakes instead of the sea. This is useful when in need of finding food in the wild near large water sources.

Appearance: There are no visible changes to the person.

Drawbacks: Those with the bloodline will have a more difficult time seeing through mist and fog if the sun is not being blocked by the clouds, as each individual particle will be showing a small reflection from the Sun's light which the Sake clans eyes are sensitive to. This applies especially to mist created by waterfalls.

If used in conjunction with the Splitting Crater technique, the spikes can be aimed to emerge from the walls of the crater or from the ground below for maximum accuracy.

If used in conjunction with the Hemisphere technique, the spikes will protrude from the outer wall of the shield to create an offensive blockade which is especially effective against those charging the barrier.

The spikes are two meters in length and approximately six inches in diameter.

Nice strategy made for your techniques, lol.

Provide a picture for a Sasumata, if you will.
